CPN-UMLChairman K P Sharma Oli has said that various elements are working to incite conflict among the Nepalis in order for fulfill their short-term interests.

Addressing a gathering of party cadres here in Dhangadi on Wednesday, the former Prime Minister said though social cohesion and national harmony was the need of the hour, external forces are trying to create conflict in the name of ethnicity, religion, language and territory.

As some forces inside the country too are working with a focus on power and self-interest rather than interest of the nation, the UML has decided to move ahead with national self-pride. “Nobody has the right to intervene in the internal affairs of Nepal”, he said.

UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said as the matter of amendment of the constitution was an internal affair of Nepal, any outside influence will be rejected.
