Nepalese not safe in Malaysia

An armed gang of Malaysian youths attacked Nepalese immigrant workers at Pasir Gudang of Johor Bahru state in Malaysia on Sunday night. Unconfirmed news have claimed that eight Nepali nationals were killed and 18 others were injured in the incident.


The clash ensued after a heated dispute between the Nepalis and Malaysian youths. The local youths entered the company hostel of Nepali immigrant workers and attacked them with sharp weapons. However, the details of the incident are sketchy.

The incident site is about 344 kilometers west of capital Kuala Lumpur.
